KCHW NEWS REPORTS

The Northeast Tri County Health District is offering a two-day Wilderness First Aid Training on August 18–19, 2025, at TEDD in Colville. The sessions run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, community volunteers, and anyone who spends time in remote areas, the course will teach essential first aid skills for responding to emergencies when professional help may be hours away. Participants will learn how to assess injuries, treat wounds, and manage medical situations in backcountry settings.

This training is part of the Medical Reserve Corps program, which supports community preparedness and emergency response. Organizers encourage attendees to join the Corps, take the training, and make a difference in their communities.

For more information or to register, visit the Northeast Tri County Health District’s website or contact their Colville office.
